I think one of the hardest things about putting yourself out on the interwebs as a blogger is that people in turn may not "like" everything you say. But, it comes with the territory. People also get to create truths for you just because of what picture is posted or what they think they might understand from someone's twitter account. It always hurts me when I find that if someone says something about you long enough, that somehow that becomes the truth. Don't get me wrong, I love blogging. I love sharing. Even in kindergarden I wanted to pretty much OWN the sharing circle.
I came to pro photographer Noah Abrams with the inspiration of Hanna Beth + I getting to write our own truths. We used a giant blackboard and got to to write all the things that we "are" behind us.
I have to admit, I've been a HB fan for a while. If I had a dollar for everytime I said to a music video director "you should get this girl Hanna Beth to be the lead, she's gorgeous," then i would have 17 dollars. She was rad enough to agree to come shoot with me, and even i learned something about her during our shoot. Even though she has crazy style, is 5'2, and has a 100% better social life than I have, we are actually very similar. We both created our own little empires all by ourselves from scratch. Pretty rad. Hanna Beth is also a killer model. When we were sorting through the proofs for this shoot almost all of my shots were bad, almost all of her shots were epic.
Enjoy the photos! Which one is your favorite?
