Last night was the best night of my life. I didn't want to announce the happy news until I had a chance to call all my close friends and have them hear it from me. Trust me it was tough to not tweet last night!

Here is my story!

Earlier in the week my friend Kate Hodges (wife to Christina's musical magic sidekick) called me and asked if Swoon and I wanted to have dinner on friday. We didn't have plans, and Kate is an amazing cook, so I told her I would ask Swoon. He said, "sounds good." and we made plans.

The entire day I was so busy with packing for thailand and I didn't put on a stitch of make-up and when it came time to leave for dinner I was totally tired and ugly and threw on black leggings and this oversized old (kinda ugly) Nirvava tee-shirt and a huge topknot. These are some of our good friends and I didn't care about looking fug.

We arrived at the Casa Hodges (which many times we have talked about getting married in their amazing backyard.) and chris faked a phonecall as if they had told us to go around the back. That's pretty normal. So we get to the backyard and there is a huge isle of white lights leading to the back of the yard. It didn't even faze me. I thought, maybe that's where they tell the kids santa lives.

So, Swoon says "let's go check it out" and we get up to the top and it is pitch black. He tells me to stand there and a giant white heart in white lights, lights up around me. It was like moulin rouge!! Then a huge giant illunimated heart lighted up in front of me. 

The next stuff is super personal and this isn't the whole story , but Chris turned me around and he quoted a quote from my book,

I wish that when you met the person you are supposed to give your forever to, that a giant lightbulb heart illuminated above their heads and you just walked up to your perfect match, turned off their light and knew that this was it.

and then he asked me to marry him.:) :) :)

I could not be happier. Swoon is perfect for me. He gets me, has earned my trust, makes me a better person, calms me, believes in me more than anyone else. He always puts me first, always. Swoon makes me unafraid to die. I was always running against this ticking clock, and Swoon made me feel like when I die, I will have lived the very best life I possibily could. That there is no one better to share this adventure with. I know that every moment will not be a blissful as these last 24 hours but I believe in choosing love, choosing to let yourself be loved and I am very happy that swoon chose me!I cannot wait to be Mrs. Knight!

WAIT! the ring! OMG. so, the ring is sooooo large that it didn't fit in a normal ring box, which is maybe why I didn't know what was going on! Swoon designed it just for me, and it is one of a kind. It is 5 carats of sparkly perfection. A double shank, art deco, with some hand scrolling on the bottom. He left lot of the metal exposed because he said it needed a little Rock N Roll. I gasped when I saw it. I would have said yes if he asked me with string, but I cannot stop looking at this ring. it's sooooo insanely beautiful! I love that he knows me so well, that he was able to design a ring that sort of looks like a Rockette earring and would make any showgirl proud!I love GLITTER!
